The Central Lancashire Business Event is an annual collaboration between Chorley Council, Preston Council and South Ribble Borough Council.

Our key aim is to assist businesses to develop their skills and growth potential while connecting them with other local entrepreneurs.

We are firm believers in the power of networking.

Chorley Council has a dedicated Business Engagement team undertaking a range of activities to develop a strong local economy – a key strategic priority for the Council. The Business Engagement officers within the team support local businesses with aspirations to grow, and financial assistance is available to qualifying businesses. Capital grants are available for expanding businesses creating new jobs, and prospective tenants taking on vacant retail premises who need to undertake capital works to improve the shop frontage. A Choose Chorley inward investment package is also available for relocating companies.  A key focus for 2019 are the Digital and Creative sectors with support available for businesses in, or moving into this sector complemented by Strawberry Fields Digital Hub, a three storey office development  on Euxton Lane and due for completion in Summer 2019.
